An annual list of Next Gen leaders under 40 who are making significant contributions to the India-EU and India-UK corridors. Previous cohorts received their certificates at the European Parliament in Brussels, as well as through virtual ceremonies attended by Members of Parliament from India, the United Kingdom, and the European Union
EuropeIndia40, an initiative of EICBI which is in its 6th year to discover Top Next Gen under 40 Europe India Leaders, covers the stories of the next generation leaders and their contributions to promoting EU India / UK India relations.
The first listing of leaders was released in 2019, and then in subsequent years, the list has been released annually. In recent years, India and the EU have celebrated a strengthened diplomatic bond. The emergence of Brexit has opened doors for enhanced European-Indian relations, prompting India to engage in refreshed multilateral talks with the EU and bilateral discussions with the UK. This has sparked discussions within the EU India trade corridor and UK India trade corridor, suggesting that Brexit could facilitate trade negotiations between the EU and India or India and the UK.
Central to fostering stronger EU India or UK India relations, unlike other contributing factors, is leadership. Young, visionary leaders are not solely driven by personal gain but are deeply committed to fostering greater collaboration between India and the EU or UK. Drawing from our extensive involvement in advancing EU India or UK India trade relations over the past decade, we confidently anticipate an exhilarating future for these relations. A new wave of young leaders from both sides is emerging, promising an exciting trajectory for the future of EU India or UK India trade relations. EICBI takes pride in acknowledging the invaluable contributions of these emerging leaders, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of EU India or UK India trade relations in the coming decades.
